I don't think this has been posted here before, but it was posted on a RN board and I thought others would be interested :

Wow - well spotted. They've done a lot of hard work here- what the web is all about.

Fantastic work

Just a quick look at Jan 1950 is fascinating, but does anybody know why the photos have been overwritten- is it something to do with copyright and royalties at the time of publishing?

Many thanks for making this known; superb.

Looking at the back issues from the '50s, it makes fascinating and occasionally depressing reading against http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=312926

Absolutely fantastic. Well done, Flight magazine.

I found 2 letters I wrote in the 70's, one a "Troubleshooter" and one in the Letters section, in minutes. Whoever made the search function work so well deserves a pay rise.

What I found slightly depressing is what an opinionated cuss I was then. What really worries me is whether I still am.

We need people of strong will around so we who have trouble sorting the wheat from the chaff are given some direction. :ok: On the other hand, you do live in a country noted for its eccentrics, but we need them too for a reality check. I think you are in good company here on Pprune, and safe. ;)

Absolutely marvellous site (Flight). Many thanks.

Yes, excellent link and resource, thank you! Especially since the AW&ST archives are nowhere near as well organized.
