Hi all

Just after info on flying schools in BC, Vancouver area if applicable.

Web pages and/or email address's would help.

I'm already a CPL pilot but will be needing to convert my licence over and probably need to go through some flying school over there. (Or here if you live in Canada)

Hello again from everybody at PRO!

For starters, I would like to say a big hello and drop you a newsletter to let you know about some of the recent updates and changes within
our operation. For a more complete update and many pictures, please take a look at our new website at www.proifr.com. (http://www.proifr.com.)

We have built an excellent facility in Boundary Bay. It includes two major classrooms for seminars and groundschool sessions. With the
good weather coming, we will soon have picnic tables and chairs between the buildings, a great place to hang out, have a coffee and shoot
the breeze.

New Duchess Coming...
We will soon be taking delivery of our new Beech Duchess. You've got to like the ident, "C-GIFR". It is extremely well equipped with HSI,
RMI, RNAV, DME, GPS, Autopilot, and Flight Director. In short it is "loaded", there isn't an IFR training machine like this one, you can't
possibly put anything more into the panel, there simply isn't any room! Colleen Lundy, the hard-working CFI of Pro IFR can hardly wait to
get her hands on that one.

Introducing Professional VFR...
You may not know that we started a fixed-wing VFR School last summer. We have 3 Cessna 172's and 4 Cessna 152's on the line. Our
CFI of Professional VFR is none other than Mr. Francois Leh. If you have ever been around Boundary Bay Airport over the last 15 years,
you probably have met Francois. He is a "stick and rudder" specialist, a true "aviator".

Introducing Professional Helicopter Training...
You may also not know that we started an IFR/VFR Helicopter School last summer. Professional Helicopter Training came of age 8
months ago and we have a beautiful IFR equipped Robinson R22 as our primary trainer. If you prefer, we are also able to do the IFR
Rating on a Bell Jetranger. The Chief Flight Instructor is Mr. Graeme Milne. You people in the helicopter industry may know Mr. John
Morris, (a veritable icon in the helicopter industry in Canada and the president of Omega Air in Vancouver), John is our partner in
Professional Helicopter Training, and one heck of a guy.

GPS Training...
We are soon going to be using GPS actively in our training regimen. Although not officially part of the Transport Canada training syllabus,
we feel that it is a very important reality based tool and one that is used in the industry to a huge degree. It is wise to gain some
experience in the navigation aid that "rules the world" in those entry-level commercial pilot jobs.

Our Seminars/Groundschools/Workshops...
Our Seminars/Groundschools/Workshops are second to none, as anybody who has attended our IFR, IFR Refresher, and ATPL Seminars
can attest. They are definitely the backbone of our operation and really set us apart. With our growth, we have added more over the last
year. We have added an excellent Commercial Seminar and our Private Pilot Groundschool. The PPL Groundschool runs Tuesday and
Thursday evenings and in May we are also planning to start up a Saturday (9AM until 2PM) PPL Groundschool for those that cannot
make the regular evening classes. This is all done in a PowerPoint presentation and is very effective.

I also want to trumpet our new PILOT INTERVIEW SEMINAR and CREW RESOURCE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP. These
excellent courses are taught by Dave Boston, Kyle Stelter and Jim Bertrand of "The Right Approach", pilots with a major Canadian
airline. Both of these courses have received rave reviews from everybody who attended.

Some of the attendees stated that their recent successful job search was directly related to attendance to these courses. Dave, Kyle and
Jim are also available for private consultation if you have an interview coming up and need to get ready NOW.

Please note that the times/dates/costs of all of the above courses are published on our website. Just send an e-mail or call the
office at 952-4635 or 1-800-CYVR-IFR to book a seat. You'll definitely be glad you came.

Inexpensive accommodation available with car...
If inexpensive accommodation is a perceived problem if you are planning to come train with us, it should not be now as we have
purchased a large farmhouse less than a mile away from our Boundary Bay Facility. It has 9 private bedrooms and has a communal car
for shared use. Most people have their own cars so getting use of the car normally is not a problem. We also have the Pro IFR Chalet, 15
minutes away in Point Roberts if we need overflow.

Our Satellite Bases...
Professional IFR also runs IFR training bases in Victoria, (located upstairs in the Victoria Flying Club) and also in Vernon (with OK
Aviation). It may be more convenient to use one of your satellite bases depending upon where you live.

Introducing Tailwinds Aviation Books & Pilot Supplies...
My wife, Blythe Montgomery, also opened up a charming pilot supply shop in the Boundary Bay Main Terminal one year ago. It is called
Tailwinds Aviation Books and Pilot Supplies and she carries everything your aviatior's heart may desire including headsets, charts, shirts,
ties, books, computers, you name it. Tailwinds may be reached at 604-952-4477. Drop in when you get the chance.

Finally I would like to say a big thankyou to everybody that has come through the "Pro System" over the years as you have helped to
make us what we are. You may not need our services at this time, but you may know somebody that might. I would sure appreciate you
putting the word out!

Bye for now and happy flying!

Yours truly,

John Montgomery
