There is a post on Avcanada from a young low timer who claims that Island Express (or somethin like that) are hiring pilots if you pay $25,000 for 5000 shares and then you fly as an F/O for free for an unspecified amount of time. Then you start getting paid once you are a Captain. They will be operating Navajo's.
Be very wary of any company that is so underfunded that they have to be so predatory and take advantage of those who are so desperate.
I will try to confirm this rumour and post the results here.

I would hope that none of us would be so desparate as to fall for this type of offer. The market is currently working in our favour and we should, at the very least, not be expected to barter our soul in order to build up our hours.
