On a certain auction site (which cannot be mentioned here of course) is a postcard of a Chaperal DC-3. I've never heard of them, but they operated 2 goonies (FPIK, FTAS) and are relatively recent given the C- reggie format. Anybody know where they were based (airport in the photo looks vaguely familiar - maybe YWG), and what routes they flew ?
A search of the civil aircraft register shows that Chaperal Charters was based at Dorval.
C-FTAS - exported to Switzerland, 1985
C-FPIK - transferred to Air Inuit in 1982, exported in 1984

TAS was originally from Transair, based in WG. A friend of mine bought it, and it was based here for awhile. Flew a couple of trips on it back in the 70's.

The reg. was familiar which is why it caught my interest. Think I may have been in the back of it - WG to God's River.
Saw it last year at Zurich where it gives pleasure flights. Unfortunately only on weekends so I had to pass.
Long life, old girl.
