Is that why they have a DC-10 with an XLA flightnumber at LGW today?

767 two days late out of the hangar for maintenance. Hence sub chartered Omni DC10 flight to Sanford

I know someone that was on the flight and yes tail scrape! And yes his second, but weather was appalling. Went out delayed, the crew were not happy as obviously they were out of hours!

Can you back up the statement that the crew were obvoiusly out of hours with some hard facts?

There is some complete and utter rubbish being thrown about on this thread. On Thursday 31 Jan, the LGW-SFB flight was subbed out several hours before the XL aircraft allegedly had a tailscrape operating that very same sector. The XL aircraft never took off from LGW to operate that flight - it was subchartered. The XL crew could never have been "out of hours" - they didn't even operate the LGW-SFB flight on Thursday. I don't know what point someone is trying to prove here, but the facts are demonstrably wrong.

Nojh,
Two of whatever you are smoking please walter. Can I borrow a spare personality off you. It seems you have a few.Your profile does seem to indicate a little bitterness. Care to elaborate. We could chat over your splendid cooking and discuss the merits of your hornby hobby.:hmm:

Pennine or is it asinnine boy. One really should be careful. All that chatter at work about how you love your little chopper.. Its a very easy process to search your posts and figure out who you are. If you ever play with your chopper at Cork be careful not to overun the runway.
Oh I forgot youve already done that havent you, thats why you're still on VR duty. So you see there is a little bit of the half wit in us all.:ok:
