Course Reversal Add 2 subtract 2 or subtract 2 add 2 for course reversal. Ex: If you are on a heading of 060 you +2 & -2 = 240 Ex: If you are on a heading of 340 you -2 & +2 = 160 A little common sense and it always works.
I found this on a link from this forum and I just cant make any sense of it at all any ideas ?

Course Reversal Add 200 subtract 20 or subtract 200 add 20 for course reversal. Ex: If you are on a heading of 060 you +200 & -20 = 240 Ex: If you are on a heading of 340 you -200 & +20 = 160 A little common sense and it always works. :ok:

Hello there,

If in the aircraft, you can look at the number at the bottom of the DI before you make the course reversal and turn onto that.
Assuming your DI is working and correctly aligned of course.

Or in the classroom, similar to the +200 -2 thing:
If heading is less than 180, add 180. Less is more
If heading is more than 180, take away 180. More is Less
Whichever method works best.
