Passport is expired - but US C1/D1 visa still has several years to run.

Is it still valid? - thus just present current passport and the old passport with the visa in it, on US entry?

Absolutely correct, I did the same, just attach old passport to new with a rubber band and away you go!

u may join your expired passport with his visa, to the new one.
and ur visa will be still OK for these chicken in blue uniforms at the US/DHL immigration.

The valid visa is the reason you'll have received the old passport back along with the new replacement, otherwise you'd never have seen the old one again.

Will have that experience shortly. (How much is a replacement these days BTW?)

Thanks all.

BTW I have two passports, but haven't bothered renewing the old one.

UK Passport Agency will return old passport, but corner will be cut off to render completely invalid. I have several such...and no valid visas.
