I've recently been asked what to me is an interesting question...

I've been asked about a list of those locations where different organizations provide service in the different ATC disciplines. In other words, where (for instance) the tower is manned by one company and the approach control and/or enroute service by another. The example I was given was Bangkok where the approach and enroute is Aerothai, but the tower is not (and that was the example given... I don't have independent knowledge of the Bangkok operation).

I'm guessing there are a lot of these, but never gave it much thought before. Anyone got examples (or a more complete list)? Input?

Thanks,

Dave

Sumburgh airport in Shetland. (EGPB)

The airport operator (Highlands and Islands Airports) is also the ATS provider for TWR. The Approach function however is contracted out to NATS and done remotely from Aberdeen. (EGPD)
