A simple question for you guys...
"Can a LFI on multi crew turboprop or jet aircraft log Instructor time under JAR FCL?"
I was told NO, but maybe some of you have other info.
Thanks

Does LFI mean "line flying instructor" ie line training captain.
If so the answer, certainly from the UK CAA is no. I asked this question a few years ago, and was told that as a TRI base training a new F/O with 180 hrs and never flown anything bigger than a seneca, I couldn't count the time towards that needed to keep my instructor ratings current, but if I had been doing a club checkout on said seneca with a pilot who had 1000 hrs on type I could.
Who would be doing the most "instructing"?
The instructing has to be within the priveleges of oyur SEP/MEP instructor rating is what I gathered from that.
