AFX seeks more scheduled routes

LONDON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - British cargo carrier Air Freight Express (AFX) Ltd has applied to operate flights for the carriage of cargo and mail to a new range of destinations, the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said in its weekly bulletin.
The applications are for services from the three London airports as well as Glasgow, Manchester and Prestwick.
The destinations are as follows:
Europe: Moscow Middle East: Beirut, Tripoli Africa: Entebbe, Harare, Johannesburg, Lagos, Kano Asia: Bangkok, Beijing, Karachi, Shanghai Australasia: Auckland, Fiji, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney,
Tahiti America: Dallas, Halifax, Houston, Phoenix, San
Francisco, Seattle Latam: Buenos Aires, Curbita, Lima, Mexico City,
Quito, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago de Chile

Good luck guys! This is not a cynical comment, I truly hope AFX can pull through these tuff times. Are they still flying for Cargolux?

could be interesting seeing a full 747 land at LCY, os isn't london city classed as a london airport anymore ( the three london airports )

I understand loadfactors are in the mid 90's and yields way up, why this concern? This appears to be an excellent opportunity for hogging market share. With a/c flying +16 hours average per day, an increase in capacity sounds like a good idea? What am I missing?

Head to Head with Atlas/GSS then, at least they don,t pretend to be a British carrier with a fake paint job! :D
