Reported on Nine News this morning that a B747-400 of SIA made a precautionary landing back at Sydney airport after suffering pressurisation problems about forty minutes into its flight to Singapore. About six people suffered ear problems and were treated by doctors, no other details but no serious injuries or damage reported.

Further reports that descent was 'rapid' from 36,000 ft to 10,000ft.
Amazingly, no "240 terrified passengers thought they would die in death plunge" reporting to date.
Could it be the journo's have suddenly gained an appreciation of aviation reality?
Nah...more likely they're all wrapped up with our election campaigning so the copy boy's doing the story.

News reports stated that over 100 pax were injured in the descent. Seems like a hell of a lot unless the pilot hooked the aircraft into a split-S.

Could be a good one for Slater and Gordon.
