Hi
I have been looking into prices to hire a multi engine aircraft in the UK.
The cheapest i have found is Old Sarum which is £142.50 per hour. Does anyone know of any cheaper than this?

As cheap as i've seen. My local clubs are 300 -350 an hour. I see the price is part of their 'frequent flyer' program though so i guess you will have to pay a reasonable sum up front to get the price.

Take a look at the aircraftgrouping.com website. At Blackpool they have an aztec and claim to be getting a twinstar. You can join their group for 6 months minimum and fly at very decent rates with no equity.

Prices for the twins on that aircraft grouping site look really cheap. If anyone knows of any similar groups in N.Ireland, I'd be interested...

No claiming about it at all , the twinstar arrives at blackpool this month , the aztec is at barton currently having its avionics upgraded and will be online asap . If you pay nearly 145 for a single join AGL ,G1000 172 for 65 per hour plus access to two archers and another analogue 172 . all for the same price

Hi i am very involved with AGL and am pleased to confirm that the Da42 Twinstar is arriving within the next 3 weeks and the long awaited Pa23-250 Aztec F will be returning to blackpool after a C of A check in a week or so. As flying for fun said you can join AGL or pay a cheap Ad-Hoc use rate of £275 for the aztec or £195 if you join the groups which i highly recommend.Joining the Aztec and Twinstar Groups also give you access to two IFR spec Pa28-181 Archer 3's. :ok:

The aircraft Grouping deal looks very good and i only wish there was a similar one down south, preferably White Waltham or Blackbushe.
I noticed on the site it states that groups can be set up at other airfields. Surely there would be enough interest round that area!
