Looking to get the "no applied instrument" restriction removed from my FI rating.

I understand it's 5 hours in the aircraft plus some groundschool , plus some form of skills test...

Does anyone have any recent experience of doing this. I'm interested in typical cost and any recomendations for places in the North of England or maybe midlands that do it well/ quickly/ at reasonable cost.

Thanks in advance.

I was quoted very roughly £1000-£1500 (various schools)

Try Eric Reed at St George Flight Training at Durham Tees Valley. Excellent personal service.

On-Track can do this for £1400, (think they did one last month) but I see you are in the NW so Ravenair may be a better bet. :)
