I think it was Roger Fiennes from memory.

Hi
Yes it was Roger Fienes. Still seems to be a bit of debate if it was a lord lucan act!
God bless whichever.

Here is the report of the accident, surprised that there is no mention of any survival equipment being carried.

Presumably this was the same Roger Fiennes who flew a well travelled Fox Moth G-ACDD. This plane moved from the UK to Belgium, NZ, crashed, Fiji, USA, UK, NZ and now Canada.

Lord Lucan indeed........No wreckage, no oil on the surface etc etc.
I'm not normally one for conspiracy theories, but it's not unknown for people to be missing at sea, presumed dead, only to re-appear later, especially if paddling canoes......:=

Mr Fiennes the Mystery man......
He was a greedy well - to - doer who faked his own death for what??
Money or the loss of a good T Moth??:ugh:
No time for people of that ilk:=

Hi,
Yes the same gentleman who flew G-ACDD. Also Roger was one of the trio to fly the Tiger Moths from London to Moscow many years back, the story told in Glasmoth.
