I currently operate on a JAA ATPL and am looking to get the FAA equivalent. Has anyone done this conversion, and if so could you please advise what is required.

You need to do a 60 Question ATP Exam - 121 NOT 135, its fairly straightforward but spend maybe three weeks looking at it, it is possible to cram for it in three days but your check airman could well ask you any question he likes off the syllabus before he hands you a shiney ATP.

Flightsafety Farnborough can do the written call them and ask for Claire in customer service

You need then to do a checkride, mine was a combined FAA/JAA Checkride for an initial type issuance and we did the ATP check at the same time.

Temporary is handed over to you there and then and you can get in the type and fly straight away, depending on the sim you might need some SOE or supervised operational experience for maybe 25 hours, it also depends on your past types and or experience.

If you are not planning on doing a type rating at a FAA approved facility such as flightsafety you might well be able to do it on a seneca or such like at one of many such schools in the USA.

Dont forget your TSA clearance.

To really help you with the exam - google dauntless software - really good structured exam software.

Good luck!
