Does anyone know what the IR theory in Norway consists of please? I ask because I have found an ICAO to JAA IR (SE) conversion course there for €4500 including the ground exams.....which seems very reasonable considering....

My guess, only a guess, is that it conforms to the JAA requirements.

There is a wide variation in the way in which some establishment could structure the ground school though...

I considered doing my entire ATPL course in Norway because it seemed on paper at least to be unbelievably cheap. Major problem was that it was at the start of JAR and they hadn't got around to writing the exam papers in anything other than Norwegian.

Norway is 'quite an expensive country'. Why not do it in Denmark as you are there - no VAT on pro training in DK :ok:
