ROFL. I think cantstandya protests too much...and with a mighty chip on the shoulder too!

Nice to see the unsubstantiated slur on QF drivers and cadets too. I don't recognise any of those handles as being current QF people. Of course that doesn't mean that they actually aren't QF drivers but I'd never be so blindly naive to attribute comments to someone unless I was very confident as to the accuracy of such a claim.

Then again, perhaps the mods should close the driver as the f*$kwit that is claiming the other posts are coming from QF drivers obviously has a few cows loose in the top paddock. Note too that there isn't a suggestion as to whether you come from a two bit second rate airline or not, just an observation that no matter what airline you're flying for cantstandya, you're still a f*@kwit! :E

Ah keg.......
Who else on prune slanders JQ apart from QF drivers who are obviously very pissed about the the massive expansion of JQ.
Lets face it, over the next 3 years every FO in JQ will have a command whilst FO's and SO's at Cuntas are years away from the left seat....
Stiff **** I say....I'm happy, how about you keg??
I have not seen too many post about TGR t&c's, and from what I hear they are the same as JQ, if not less......
All the constant whinning about Joyces airline are quite boring, and from the tone of your post Keg seems as though the lilltle lepprecorn has hit a nerve with you.........
Hows all the rest of your mates on your cadet course feel????? Fcuk head!!!

Well George, this is the second time you've resorted to profanities and personal insults in order to further your argument. You need to be less thin skinned fella.

This time gets you a month in the sin bin.

Next time gets you banned to IP level (and yes, we CAN do it). ;)

drshmoo is back! Hallelujah!

G Cantstandya - I might still be an S/O in a couple of years but I'll be able to sleep easy at night knowing I'm working towards a well paid command, unlike yourself...$150k a year as an S/O in QF or a fair bit less as a JQ F/O working my ring out - not a hard choice!

My dick isn't so small that I have to get into the left seat ASAP and sell out my fellow pilots in the process. It's not all about progression, but having said that I'm going to take the first one I can get in mainline.

This thread is probably gone soon anyway...but it was fun while it lasted. Looks like you were the one that had a raw nerve hit mate.

Lol. Hook, line and sinker.

Who else slanders JQ pilots? First of all the claim would have to be false. Secondly, slander tends to be via the written form. You're thinking 'libel' but lets go back to point 1.

So who 'libels' the J* drivers? That requires someone to put something forward as fact when it isn't. I see lots of very obvious satire but no libel on this thread.

Next, you presume that it's always QF drivers. I can't speak for others on here but I don't recognise any QF handles on here except for myself and Transition Layer. Neither of us have libeled J* crew. You'll note in my earlier post that I wasn't sure whether or not you're J* and so just labeled you a f^$kwit! That much is obvious from your post! :E

Do QF drivers libel J* crew? Certainly many QF drivers state quite openly that they don't question the skill levels, and that mistakes happen in all airlines (golf courses, G/A @ MEL, etc). Nothing libelous in this.

What do most QF drivers question then? What most QF drivers do comment on (and since this is opinion rather than something made out to be fact it's impossible to call it libel) is the lack of wisdom that saw J* crew accept crap conditions for the A320 and, (even more astoundingly) the 'widebody variation' when a global shortage was imminent and there was no gun at your heads.

How do the rest of my cadet mates feel about QF? Lets see, all currently F/Os on the 744, or A330 and heading to the A380. All currently earning a lot more than a JQ captain. All have working lives that allow them to see their family. All have a set of terms and conditions that protects them from an airline that may one day decide to interpret the J* 'award' in black and white and decide that your time off is going to be o/s instead of at home. All have earned a lot more than JQ pilots over the last decade or so. All have command slots in the next 12 months where they'll continue to earn a lot more than JQ captains.

All in all I reckon that we feel pretty friggin good. Thanks for asking. Merry Christmas wherever you happen to be spending it. :ok:

(Do you wanna go again or have you had enough?)

Thank goodness for Jetstar. Pprune's D & G would be so boring otherwise!

This 'us vs them' crap will never cease. You won't change Dixon's mind overnight unless you or anyone has a positive plan where it will be give and take from both parties....apologies for the thread drifting!

To all PPruners, sorry about the picture above being removed.... someone stole my cheap seat...... must have been some beggar worrying about quick progression to make ones self feel better.

I'd like to say that some of the better pilots I know from GA then regionals have gone down the J* path..... why?? they have their reasons... as I have mine by never even opening their filthy website. Life is all about enjoying your job and getting a fair days pay...... Well for the J* lot I hope you enjoy the flying. I hope for the entire industry that you guys (girls) stick together and gat at LEAST Virgin pay or better at your next EBA because any less and you are doing wrong by the industry. I believe you are worth far more than you are paid and as much as I am happy for my mates getting Jet jobs, it pains me as to why they accept less.

Little comparison of similar aircraft

QF S/O A330 after checked to line gets about $90k leading to $120k within 12/18 months…………..paid nil for training

J* S/O A330....... sorry Cruise F/O A330 (same job different name) gets $54k leading to $85K on completion of REAL F/O upgrade to A320 in (promised) 6 months to a year...

QF S/O works really hard logging as much Latte time sunning ones @ss on Bondi Beach whilst J* lad is docked $10k for the next 3 years because the company was nice enough not to make you pay upfront...... and when times get tough can spend their precious time away as time off..:ugh::ugh:

You deserve better conditions. You are a professional highly skilled group of pilots and YOU owe yourselves and the industry (and the GA pilots too) nothing short of VB T&Cs next EBA minimum.

hmmm, well maybe not everyone can get into qf. not saying i agree with the conditions but i can't say that the fellas i know at jetstar are any different to the ones i know in qf. some got thru some didn't - not better pilots or smarter. those that missed out got on with it and applied elsewhere. noone in this forum would expect them to sit in ga forever because they missed out on qantas. luck of the draw sometimes. i think its important to walk a mile in someones shoes first and to not forget that we all started out the same and just wanted to make a descent living at the end of the day...

its a bit easier to take the moral high ground when you are on the high ground.

titan, now that's just not nice! :eek: :}

cantstandya throws out a completely unsubstantiated post that actually does libel QF pilots (mistake #1), labels them all as F*^kwits (mistake #2). He gets 'called' on it and his only response actually directed towards the discussion at hand is to ask how I and my colleagues like our careers. This was obviously in the mistaken belief that we're still in the back seat with a long way to go to upgrade (mistake #3).

If the potty mouthed one can't handle being shown to be a dill due to pressing 'submit reply' before thinking, then perhaps he shouldn't be clicking on the 'submit reply' button to start off with.

aulglarse....I've previously articulated a 'give and take' plan on these forums. The J* drivers need to understand that most QF drivers aren't interested in taking slots off them, all we're after is 'access' to slots as seniority comes up. We've offered this in return also. Personally I'd never go because I couldn't afford it (or more rightly, my wife couldn't afford it). If we worked together on this it'd be so much easier. Unfortunately, the dills out there with the chips on their shoulders (on both sides) make it difficult to achieve. :(

Jet* out to save the world! Maybe but in the meantime,

When will you guys at the Star realise that you've been had in a big way by Qantas?

When will you understand that by slagging off at QF drivers and the pay they enjoy, all you are doing is simply demonstrating how distasteful jealousy really is.

Do you guys honestly think that the pilots at QF believe that you dont aspire to the same?

Fellas when you grow up and get married with a couple of sprogs and a mortgage then you can tell us all how happy you really are working for Jet*.

You will learn that, "V1 Rotate..... geez look at me mum" just doesn't pay the bills!

Now if we can all unite and begin singing to the same tune we might just get somewhere.

Here's to hoping.

Dragonair pilots have fought a hard industrial battle for the last two years. The union committee had a good deal of Australian pilots involved. Sometimes treading on egg shells with little industrial protections. Other times firm in a number ways.

Anyways. The story completes with a 20% plus improvement on the package offered this week.

Unity! And if guys walk, burn the bridges!

The sweetest thing of all. Not the money, not the minor improvements of lifestyle. But the moving forward professionally with your mates.

Harden up J*.
