What's the best out there?

Trying to decide between the Scott Leather Jumbo flight kit and the Coyote Works bag.

Any suggestions?

They're both great bags. What color are your stripes? The Coyote bag has silver hardware, the Scott's come with gold hardware.

Also the skidplates on the Coyote bag are nice. I like the "up-armored" feel.

how are the locks on the coyote works bag? Same quality as the Scott bag?

I heard that the only thing wrong with the Scott bags is that the latches are cheap.

Can you not take that Ikea bag as your flight bag for april fools. Do the airlines allow you to freak your passengers out like that. I.E Taking a teddy bear under your arm as if your teddy has to travel everywhere with you.

It carries easily a teddy bear.

Please be advised that humour is completely wasted when dealing with the good people of Canadia.

They match the twiddley bits on their bags to their stripes

I emailed Scott Leather over a week ago, with some questions re their bag. I'll go blue in the face if they don't reply soon! :ouch:

Hi, have you ever considered the Classic Korchmar Aviator Catalog Case?
It looks very nice.

I like the ''skid plates'' on the coyote works bag. Is the rest of the bag good as well?

It's very very hard to beat the one Argos does. 20 odd squids and bears an uncanny resemblance to the ones the catalouges for 3-4 times the price, and at 20 odd quid, you can replace them every year!

Fundamentally it's a big leather box, but I like the Coyote bag. Nice thick leather, good handle, the skid plates take the worry out of any drags, silver colored hardware. I also wanted a bag where I didn't have to thread the handle through the top, nor gather two "saddle straps" together to form the handle. The Coyote fit the bill, though I believe Scott has a similar option.

The best one is the lightest one..so at least you will save some fuel...:ouch:

The best flight bag is a small one, this removes the temptation to carry around a whole load of stuff which you will never use or look at.

I've been using a Jeppesen FC-4 for two years now. Very happy with it.

I a stil using a 12 year old Argo which is starting to look a bit taty, thinking of buyiny one with wheels as airports are getting bigger. Probably get one from Argos.

are the wheels a good idea? I see most guys hook them on to their roller suitcase.

Flying large jets does not neccessitate carrying a large flight bag. i use a leather business- type case and it works out fine.... even enough room for my book and PSP!;)

Used to have various large cases and ended up taking things with me that i never used, merely to fill the space.

I used to fly with a Capt. called Edward (teddy) who carried "Edward Bear" with him. I think it was a present from his daughter.

Do alot of you agree that a full size flight case is too big?
