From the Gulf News:

Air Traffic Control at Kuwait's international airport will cease for two hours today (Monday 19th Nov) due to a rare strike by workers demanding higher wages, the official Kuna news agency said yesterday.

No flights will arrive or depart between 9.30 and 11.30 AM (0630 GMT and 0830 GMT) at the state-owned airport because of the planned strike by civil aviation authority employees, Kuna said.

Senior employees at the authority were told recently by the government ministers that their demands for a wage hike would be considered by parliament, Kuna said.

Industrial action in the state is rare

:D

Vive Le Resistance :p

I am sure our controller cohorts in Kuwait don't share your opinion. :hmm:

You must remember that eagle39's philosophy is that improvements and changes are brought about by those that sit and do nothing about their situation, not the people who actually show some guts and take action.
Well done Kuwaiti colleagues:ok:

My fingers are firmly wrapped around my beer, the other typing this response

Wouldn't waste my time or finger maneuvering on trivial people of his caliber. :hmm:

To the controllers of Kuwait.

Is this the begining of the ripple effect of the Dubai salary wave - after all a new bench mark for wages has now been set.

Just a thought.

P.S. Anyone got an up-date of where things are at now - Fox3?
