Did I see an item on here relating to the possibility of the DH Chipmunk going on to the PFA register?
Was I dreaming?

I presume you mean going onto a 'permit to fly'.
Not much chance as far as I can see as DH support is alive and well.
Austers and Jodels are a different matter as the type certificates and manufacturer support has been effectively abandoned.
A permit would also mean no club training, night, IMC or international travel rights.
Saving the cost of undercarriage NDT and the like might seem attractive though.
