Is it just me or is LGW just Sh!t? Aside from the shocking and dirty airport infrastructure..... the current work on the runway at night is poorly designed and co-ordinated.
The lack of any approcah aids is shocking... "160 to 4DME..err no err 4 miles"...bright lights (unshielded) at the threshold, no center line lights, dim edge lights, bright RETILs, no estimates on when the runway is going to re-open, etc etc. Is this an incident waiting to happen?
Does the TODA, OCH height actually meet the performance requirements for 08R?
ATCO's and Pilots are again taking the strain/risk for a lack of BAA investment.
