Hi.
A friend of mine is the owner of a C172 SP millenium, with the nav II package.
It is with standard equipment, mode c, adf, no dme, KLN94, Kap 140 alt. preselect.
Engine and airframe has 1600 hours, no damage history.
It is with leather and very nice inside. Outside the painting needs a litle touch up, but all in all a very very nice airplane.
He is considering to sell the aircraft. Vat is paid.
What would be a resonable market price in UK/Europe for a Cessna like this??

At 1600 hours TT, you're coming up on engine overhaul time.

Price an engine overhaul there (as opposed to the price in Trade-A-Plane in the USA), add for R&R, and deduct that amount or say 85% of it from the selling price of the airplane.

Price for overhaul is $15 to $20K here, there's a roller tappet upgrade for the engine (costs more).

These airplanes (172SP) seem to sell for $140 to $160K here, this is from a quick glance at Trade-A-Plane. Just some starting numbers to give you an idea what you're looking at, hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Have been looking at controller.com and other sites. The price level in the US is easer to get an idea of, but how is this compared to the European market?
Anyone can ferry a plane here, but it will have som extra cost for ferry, registration and especially vat. What is the level in the UK compared to US?
