I am currently building a 1:1 scale A320 simulator and have completed the majority of it with the exception of the rudder pedals. I am under the impression that most aircraft have a rudder pedal deflection of 9'' (full deflection) however I wondered if this was the same for the A320 as it would be a shame to get this far and get this wrong. I would appreciate any advice from anyone who thinks they might be able to help.

Thanks very much.

ok this is taken from the airbus Flight Crew Trg Manual (FCTM).

rudder full deflection on the 320 is 6 degrees

TILLER AND RUDDER PEDALS USE
Pedals control nosewheel steering at low speed (± 6 degrees with full pedal
deflection). Therefore, on straight taxiways and on shallow turns, the pilot can
use the pedals to steer the aircraft, keeping a hand on the tiller. In sharper
turns, the pilot must use the tiller.

420 is correct in the deflection of the rudder itself.

I think you mean the rudder pedal displacement.

I haven't seen anything in the crew manuals but it may be published in the engineers manuals.

However, 9" (inches) would appear to be approximately correct in my view.

And remember that aircraft rudders all operate in the reverse sense and we pilots have all learned to use them that way with varying measures of success.

thanks, I did mean the rudder pedal displacement sorry if that was not clear. thanks for your help - 9'' (inches) is what i shall work to I think then!
