... but a pretty specific one.

In 2001, I took my, then Belgian PPL, licence to the States and was issued an FAA PPL (old paper version) based on my Belgian licence. I passed a US multi-engine test and had that added to my FAA PPL.

Now, in 2007, I hold a JAA CPL IR and I was told an instrument rating based on my JAA IR can be added to my FAA licence as long as I pass the theoretical check (which can be done in Paris Le Bourget).

I would like to know now what I need to do, paperwork-wise, to :

- Add my JAA IR to my FAA PPL
- Update my address on my FAA licence
- Update my from "Based on Belgium pilot licence #..." to "Based on JAA licence #..."
- Get all this on one of those creditcard-type of licences.

So basically, I would like to get a new FAA PPL ME IR licence with my address and European licence info updated. Also, will I need to go to the US for this as is required for an initial issue, or is it possible to have it mailed to me?

Thanks for your help and kind regards,

You will need to go through the process of getting another FAA PPL based on your JAA license and then transfer the Multi accross and then add the FAA IR to the new FAA license.

have fun:eek:
