Incredible

No babies screamed in terror, no women fainted, and no schools were in the flight path endangering thousands of children.

And this from aircraft that was so badly damaged that is had to have a quick check by and engineer before it was able to fly again.

Good job the mail didn't report it.

batch mate of mine command... two kites went into Eng 2 at approx 138 kts ( V1 141 ) VIB went to 4 units..continued takeoff came back for a precautionary landing .. 5 fan blades were bent badly... the poor sod having some run bad luck.... had a severe damage ( turbine blade separation ) at 24,000 ft 4-5 months back.....:\
