You've flown everywhere for tea you can fly within an hour of London.
You've done the IMC to take you 'the next step', but never really used it.
The £100/hour for the spamcan is not what it used to be. And you never did use all 4 seats.

This is where I found myself a year ago and could see myself becoming another 'dropout' statistic. I tried aeros and learned my stomach isn't up to it as a hobby. I tried gliding for a summer, only to learn it was more about pushing other people's planes around and waiting and less about flying... and took half a day! But it brought me closer to my answer...

I spent this summer getting my TMG (touring motor glider) rating, and sponsoring a Grob 109B to friendly Denham. It is better in almost every way:

- It costs about £34/hour (on 4 hours a month, assuming you own 25%) for everything except maintenance.
- It flies at 90kts so I feel as fast as the clubhouse usuals.
- I've learned taildragging, stick flying, strip flying, and started exploring gliding
