Hi,

I just got the idea to write this post after reading the post regarding the B737 flight test.

I currently have an Embraer ERJ-145 type rating on an ICAO licence and would like to get it endorsed on my Canadian licence. Can anyone tell me, is this possible (without doing an initial rating over)? Is the type recognized in Canada? Can I just request to have it transferred by providing the training records/endorsement on my other licence without doing any check rides (I have over 2000h on the a/c, so would prefer to do an IFR ride on it if I had to)?

Can anyone provide any insight? Thanks very much!

I used the Atlantic Region in Moncton, New Brunswick. You can do it at any regional headquarters. Just talk to the Personnel Licensing. This is the Moncton number (506) 851-7131. I had the Ladies email but not anymore.

I have used, Name: Regina Kumar Phone: (604) 666-5576 Position: Licensing Officer X400: c=CA;a=GOVMT.CANADA;p=GC+TC;s=Kumar;g=Regina; Internet: [email protected] Routing Symbol: TARL Building: Vancouver Regional Office Address: 800 Burrard Street City: Vancouver Province: British Columbia Postal Code: V6Z 2J8

OR

Name: Rhea LeBlanc Phone: (506) 851-7435 Position: Licensing Officer X400: c=CA;a=GOVMT.CANADA;p=GC+TC;s=LeBlanc;g=Rhea; Internet: [email protected] Routing Symbol: MAR Building: Moncton Regional Office,Heritage Court Building Address: 95 Foundry St., 6th Floor City: Moncton Province: New Brunswick Postal Code: E1C 5H7

You will have to provide all your training files, including ground school, rides on type, etc. They will let you know what you need.:{

Good luck:ok:

When I was converting my ICAO ATPL to a Canadian one in 2005 I just presented a copy of PPC on type (not older than 12 months) and a logbook showing experience on type and I got B73C endorsed on a Canadian licence
