Hi everybody, currently I'm undergoing ab initio training in England, at one private college. I shall get my aerodrome licence in 2 months or so.
I'm searching a place to validate my licence and get a job (OJT first).
Do you have any advices for me? im pretty much open to any country, any airfield.

Thanks in advance.

Try Here (http://www.hial.co.uk/) for starters.

You could also try FLIGHT magazine......they do have jobs online as well, Its a case of keep applying, many ask for approach ratings but will consider twr only. Jobs have come up recently at Manston, Lydd, Southend, and a few in Northern Ireland. Also Farnboro advertised externally outside Nats. Suggest you send your CV to the satco of all the units you can think of ..you never know where the next vacancy pops up. HIAL is a good prospect.....All the best:ok::ok:

If you do decide for HIAL, insist on a posting to Inverness.

They'll bull**** and blather about how they need Tower ATCOs elsewhere and how they've a long list of their own staff who want to work there, but you have taken the risk and intiative to do things yourself.

Sell your talents and tell them you'll only join them if it's Inverness AND a radar course within 2 years and don't accept anything less.
If they won't accept that tell them you have similar offers elsewhere and it's a shame, but so be it - bye, bye - they'll get back to you with an improved offer.

The other options aren't so easy.

Write to every non NATS unit you would like to work at and sell yourself, this is very difficult, because some places (like mine) prefer ALL the qualifications and previous validations, whereas others are prepared to take a chance if you look as though you will make it and take you on as a raw recruit.

Look out for, or PM SATCO Biggin and MATsPt3, they're some of the "good guys" who may just cut you some slack.

Good luck anyway.
