Simple question.

May the recall and master caution system be u/s for dispatch?

From my experience on 737 classics the master caution and recall are not in the MEL as deferrable items and are stoppers if not working correctly.

Ok, that was also my conclusion but I'm only a pilot you know... :}
But would like a 100% sure answer and prefferably a link to the written text or a heads up on which book says so....

The MMEL said:
...It is important to remember that all equipment related to the airworthiness and the operating regulations of the aircraft not listed on the MMEL must be operative.

737-200 MEL - 33-16. System Annunciator Lights left and Right (Pilots Glare Shield)
One light may be inoperative for an operating system.

I would have to say you can have 1 or more lights inop. but not the recall or system. What you have stated would be a no-go. MEL's can be interpeted differently in many ways unfortunatly. When I am faced with doubt it would be no-go.:confused:
