The reason is we are being asked to fly ETOPS using BGSF (Kangerlussaq) as our ERA. In the AERAD supplement it has Mon to Sat hours of operation (along with all the other BGs).

Is this legal. Likewise we fly outside the weekday 21:00 closing time...was told on my EATOPs course that we could make a call on HF...they would get the airport personnel out of bed and by the time we got there it would all be open.

Sounds a tad unlikely...anyone know the score?

Not sure you would get full services available within a couple of hours on a nominated "airfield closed" day? The published hours are clear that, on Sunday, you cannot use BGSF as an ERA. Last Sunday I used CYYT and BIKF which exclude the need for any airfield in Greenland as long as you have 138 mins ETOPS approval.

They are not open on Sunday, we have to use 180 mins ETOPS on the Sun flights.
