I've gone through Lasors, JAR FCL-2 and AIC 72/2007 (White 139). But I'm still confused.

If I add a new Single Engine Single Pilot type to my license what do I need to be legal to instruct ? Is it just a successful skills test, or 15 hours on type (a la JAR FCL-2 230H (b)(1) ? LASORS adds "15 hours in the past 12 months" - which I think is invalidated by the above.

Check out Lasors, H1.5
All clear as mud. Basically, the way I interpreted it when I was instructing, if if you have done 15 hours on type in previous 12 months (also have the type on your licence and can act as commander/PIC) 'OR' completed a satisfactory check ride on type, then you can instruct on single eng, single pilot heli's.
Used to need 30 hours on type for teaching on B206 for example but it's all changed now.

Does that help?
