The local newspaper reported yesterday (Aug 24) that an air service will be established within six omnths between Pembroke (YTA) and YYZ. No details given, which is of course very helpful, except that firm is "Montreal-based".

Anyone out there with an idea who this might be ? Air Creebec comes to mind as they operate both the EMB-110 Bandeirante (12 pax) and the Beech King Air 100 (12 pax). Either seems about the right size for a 2x daily type operation to this area from YYZ.

The previous incumbent, GoAir Express, tried an 18-seat Beech 1900C which I thought was a little large for the service. Also lack of a Sunday evening flight meant no possibility of weekend traffic.

It sure would make those Toronto-area meetings a heckuva lot easier to do !

Cheers all,

My guess(es):
Pascan Aviation http://www.pascan.com/english.htm
PC-12 or maybe one of their new Jetstreams.
OR
Propair http://www.propair.ca/english/index_en.html
A few possibilities can be found here. http://www.pilotcareercentre.com/JobResearchListAirlines.asp?RegionID=8

I think it's PemAir that established a service 5-6 years ago with a J31.
It did not last long though :sad:

Ahhh...godd old Pemair! I lasted 3 long years there of 100 hour months and nothing larger than a BE100 to drive. They used to run three a day between YYZ and the "valley"! Sundays went twice and it was usually a full ride on the PA 31... I made some serious friends working there (25 years ago) and still count them as my closest! Hope whoever starts this service is serious because they have a chance to attract some dedicated customers if the service works. Good Luck!

Actually, it was GoAir Express that was around 2003-2005 (approx)
with a B1900C. A subsidiary of KnightHawk Express which used Falcons and B1900s for parcel service across Canada, principally in the east. Parents' financial problems led to GoAir shutdown.

Pem-Air were around 70s-90s using Navajos and KingAirliners.
