:ooh:

I'm not a financial guru nor do I have any beancounting experience, but 54.7% increase in interim profit just screams 'in your face'.

Please tell me our boys at the AOA have negotiated something REALLY GOOD. I seriously like where I am, but I can't continue to work in good consciousness for a company that doesn't believe in reciprocity.
It really stinks to feel compelled to look elsewhere, but fekk me if all I'm doing is working to line the already fat pockets of the suits who walk the once hallowed halls of the City. Time to show a little love for everyone CX...the ground staff who deal with people who yell profanities at them for checking in 10kgs over their weight allowance, the cabin crew who have to deal with hormonal tycoon wive's Gucci bags, the engineers who sweat their @rses of in 30+ degree heat to meet a one hour turn around (five+ times a day)....I don't even need to touch upon the flight crew category.

Waiting to hear the good <fingers crossed> news :suspect:

Please do not raise your hopes.
Employee cost restriction is the game to play to get those management bonuses.
The company admit when they raised the ID ticket fares that HKG inflation had gone up 15 - 20 per cent since 2001. But expect 5 per cent over 2 years if you are B scale. That is what your best efforts since 2001 are worth.
In the meantime, expect the A scale gravy train to keep on rolling.

Well done AOA.

You are working to line my pockets and from the bottom of my bonus, we all thank you. We will give you a less than 10% pay increase but we will want something in return. I believe they been outlined in other threads.

Expect your package by Friday.

My bonus will be enormous this year.

Glad to see we have a compliant, fearful and pathetic pilot group and their leaders.

Slapfan, have you been peeking around your cubical?

Here’s to my bonus. Don’t you love it?

Don't get your hopes up for a massive increase in Profit Share.

The interim results from last year equated to 6.16% profit on turnover whereas this year's result was 7.45% profit on turnover(KA included now). It gets a little more complicated than that as the annual result is declared 'net of recoveries' - ie, they reduce turnover by the fuel surcharge they have received. Before paranoia sets in, this has the effect of INCREASING profit share as the same profit is now divided by a smaller turnover number.

Anyway, if the 2nd half improvement is in line with the 1st half, profit share next year should be around 15 days and $6,000. Total profit for the year should be approx $6.3B.

But what would I know, I'm a 'million dollar moron'!

I want all you guys to think back to this 54.7% and CP & TT's smirks when you are getting ready to vote. Think of them next time you are doing favors and "taking one for the team".:yuk:

Just think how big that smirk will get when they manage to get another concession from us in these upcoming COS. They'll be thinking of what they are gonna do with their huge bonuses. :ugh:

did anyone else catch TT's snide comment regarding Air China's profit....about how 'we own part of it'....? Who cares Tony.....we don't share in the benefits...only you do.
