Can anyone give me an example of when these are made? I was reading about them on the Met Office web site, but have never heard of specific met related MOR's.

Thanks, J

Hi there! From CAP382, Mandatory Occurrence Reporting, Appendix B (Pages 4/5):

Meteorology
a) A lightning strike which resulted in damage to the aircraft or loss or malfunction of any essential service.
b) A hail strike which resulted in damage to the aircraft or loss or malfunction of any essential service.
c) Severe turbulence encounter, an encounter resulting in injury to occupants or deemed to require a "turbulence check" of the aircraft.
d) A windshear encounter.
e) Icing encounter resulting in handling difficulties, damage to the aircraft or loss or malfunction of any essential service.

Also, still appendix B (Page 16):

Provision of significantly incorrect, inadequate or misleading information from any ground sources, e.g. ATC, "ATIS" (automatic terminal information service), meteorological services, navigation databases, maps, charts, manuals, etc.

Hope this helps!
