I am hoping to fly to Cerfontaine in South Belgium in a PFA permit aircraft. I will overfly a small bit of France but not land there.

Do I need permission from the French or Belgian CAAs? or do we have reciprocal rights for permit aircraft.

Many thanks for all help

The PFA website has a document (http://www.pfa.org.uk/Engineering%20pdfs/Operating%20an%20Aircraft%20ona%20PFA%20Permit/TL%202.08%20Travelling%20Abroad%20in%20a%20Permit%20Aircraft .pdf) that explains issues with taking Permit aircraft abroad. France is no problem - Belgium, unfortunately, might be. You require written permission at a cost of 80 Euros; permission lasts one year and is valid for a maximum of 30 days in that year.

Many thanks. I have emailed the Belgian CAA email given in the PFA details.

Has anyone actually done this recently? any helpful tips?
