An ATR 42 with 21 on board aquaplaned after landing at Congonhas (CGH) in the afternoon of 16 July 2007. Nosegear collapsed, 21 on board unhurt.
The main runway at CGH was reopened about ten days ago after resurfacing, but has not yet been re-grooved. Heavy rain last night continued throughout the day. Link to Globo video which just shows aircraft off the runway resting on nose, skidmarks:

See the link taken from another thread. Managing the Threats and Errors during Approach and Landing. (www.flightsafety.org/ppt/managing_threat.ppt)
Slide 26 shows the marked difference in mu (runway friction) between a ‘wet grooved’ and a ‘wet smooth’ runway; a difference in reporting from Medium (grooved) becoming Nil on a smooth wet runway. If the runway is actually flooded - contaminated, then even a grooved runway may only have Poor braking.
Sounds like an avoidance strategy all round, providing the appropriate communication about w.i.p. (work pending) and runway state is made.
