The answer is, there is no truth to this rumour at all.

But going by recently recieved emails, it would seem that a recent hire from an Oz based LCC is telling his mates at home all about this one. Once again proving why we need drug testing!!!

Actually there is possibly some truth in this rumour.

If the clock starts ticking now, then 10 years from now, and given the current rates of UAE inflation, and assuming EK continues to make some profit and the Dollar/Dirham continue their decline - then a 4 week bonus will be about US$ 1,000,000.

Look at Zimbabwe - 1 US Dollar today is worth 10,000,000,000 of the Zim dollar 10 years ago. Who would have believed 10 years ago that a USD hidden under a matress would buy Ten Billion (Yes thats correct) zim dollars today.
