EGNOS

Does anybody know when EGNOS (the European equivalent of WAAS) is going to be up and running. I thought it was mean to start this summer.
As far as I can remember it is seperate from Galileo (the European GPS system which is still being argued over) although it will update Galileo when that starts working

According to my learned navigation colleagues, EGNOS is operating, but not yet certified for use air applications. If you have a handheld or car SATNAV, fill your boots.
