I'm planning a little jaunt around Essex this afternoon, and I'm getting a strange NOTAM appear on the AIC website.

Q)EGXX/QAFTT/IV/NBO/E/000/999/5218N01451W742
FROM 07/06/30 05:26 TO 07/07/15 23:59 B1233/07
E)TRIGGER NOTAM: AIP AMDT AIRAC 7/2007 WEF 05 JUL/PERM.
FULL DETAILS ARE AVAILABLE BY SELECTING THE PUBLICATIONS MENU ON THE
AIS WEB SITE WWW.AIS.ORG.UK

It appears to have a effective radius of 742 NM, but I can't find any record of the amendment on the AIC website. Could anyone enlighten me ??

It's just telling you that the AIP is amended today, 05th of July, so any planning you may have done from an old copy of that (or anything else) needs checking against latest data.

But the AIS website says
AIRAC 6/2007

so when does that update so that we do have the July info?

One that seems a bit daft. (I'll get my coat!)

"Trigger NOTAM" - one that tells you of a pre published change being activated.

AIP amendments in hard copy are actually pushed out 2 months in advance. So, if you know a change is happening, but for get when, the Trigger NOTAM brings it to your attention.

Having said all that - there is a school of thought that says they're actually pointless, as the changes wil normally be well briefed to concerned people. I for one agree.
