Is there anyone out there who can tell me where I can find more information about the Joint Airworthiness Authorities and the Joint Aviation Authorities. Does anyone know:

What was the reasons behind the name change, which happened 4 years after the remit expanded to cover Ops and Licensing (one would think that would happen at the same time) or was this delayed until EC 3922/91 was passed (the same year as the name change)

Was the original JAA formed to ease certification of just Airbus A/C, or was Concorde a factor. Presumably it was also to assist FAR 25 A/C in the certification in Europe - maybe a sort of reciprocal agreement?

Why have JAR's 21, 145 etc been removed from Annex 2 to 3922/91 and issued as specific EC regulations whereas EU-OPS will become Annex III of this regulation and not a separate regulation.

Does anyone know what the original JAA logo looked like?

I hope someone out there has an answer or two, I'd be both impressed and grateful.
