Hi guys, long time reader here...

Having browsed a few threads and read up a bit, I'm now looking to start my PPL.

I'm looking for a comprehensive list of books to purchase (new or used) to complete my PPL - which would cover me for BOTH (H) AND (A).

Read the Thom books are good, but what else is necessary?!

I'll be doing my practical flying after taking all exams.

Thanks to all who post! :ok:

The Trevor Thom books are fine as is the Jeremy Pratt series. For Helicopter, all you need to add is Wagtendonk's Principles of Flight. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the confuser and preferred AirLife's Q&A for the PPL.

But I'll bet you a pound to a penny you'll end up buying all sorts of other aviation related books!

Cheers

You absolutely want the most up to date books - so be careful that the used ones are actually the latest.

I bought mine from amazon.co.uk simply because they worked out much cheaper.
