Hi Guys
What would be the closest and easiest airfield to get to central London from? (Not London City:=)
Not a grass strip and it will be for a PA28.
Thanks

How about North Weald? Good access to town, and needs people to use the airfield, otherwise it faces closure. The closest tube is 2 miles away; easy cab journey, or cadge a lift!

Elstree's close and easy to get into town from.
I don't know of any closer grass strips, but why rule them out?

This thread was covered a few weeks back i think!!
Try Southend..1600mts of tarmac, ILS, DME , NDB etc..open 24hrs.
Train station minutes from the airport by cab, straight into Liverpool st around 45mins...

p.s. Battersea Heliport. With a strong southerly, I reckon it's just possible:ok:
