OK. Perhaps that's an exaggeration, but it's still irritating...

Apparently a couple of Embraers had a near hit in KSFO yesterday. KGO, the local SFO ABC affiliate made a mess of the story. Apparently fast is better than accurate. Grrr... :suspect:

I admit I overlooked that fact when I typed "RJs." Hasty typist sometimes. Apparently fast is better than factual for me sometimes too. Sorry about that...

ABC7 aviation consultant Ron Wilson says the unique layout of SFO makes air traffic control work tedious. As the intersecting runways can often create a confusing situation.

tedious?! How can that possibly be the right word?

They need a dictionary as well as a fact-book!

Just teasing abot the RJ's! Actually, A/C type has very little to do with this incident. But you're right, the press usually has no clue. How many times have we read about the aircraft at FL390 advising the 'tower' bla bla bla...
