Apologies if someone has already posted this, but the Southend Air Cadets, are operating HF radio, on the above dates. If anyone has a spare 5 mins, back from the Med, or in the middle of the pond, maybe give them a call, I am sure they would appreciate it. Cheers Kiwi1. :ok:
Maybe some of the girls and guys will end up sitting in yr RHS in a few years :)

Gave them a call from overhead Turkey but no luck...probably due to a weak transmitter and thunderstorm activity over that area. Managed to say hello overhead Prague/Munich though but still only weak.Very polite reply and very greatful for the call. A few of our Kestrel callsigns checked in that day due to the message being sent around the company...also calling at the time...a Monarch and a GB. Hope they had a good day. It sounded like a bit of a damp airshow according the gent on the MRV27 end!!

:) Many Thanks Down Three Greens !

I am sure the folks would have been pleased with the calls, and the wx yesterday, was dismal, according to my wife, while I sat in Florida in the sun ...

We will hope for better wx for them next yr. !

Cheers Kiwi1

Tried them a few times on our way across the Atlantic but with very weak results with no exchange possible.
