G-YMMK operating the BA38 11.25 PEK-LHR yesterday at around 12.30 BST and somewhere in the Baltic area suffered a broken windscreen on the P2 side which caused the service to be reduced in altitude and height. According to the IFE 341 mph and 15,000 ft. It seemed possible that the aircraft might have to be put down at Schipol but in the end limped back to home territory arriving approximately an hour and a half behind schedule. How do I know this? I was one of the SLF's on the affected flight. Disembarking from the aircraft at T4 we were treated to the unusual sight of the pilots looking out from their side window at the state of their windscreen. If you were the flight crew operating this service, thanks for getting us back safely and if you know what it was that caused the breakage it would be interesting to know.
