The PFA website has now been updated and includes all the information for the Robin Hood Rally on June 23rd and 24th 2007 including joining instructions. Saturday is PPR through the Merlin Flying Club website www.merlinflyingclub.co.uk solely for the reason that we have two one hour air display slots on the Saturday afternoon and arrivals need to be aware of this. Radio PPR on the day will suffice if necessary but be aware that the airfield is closed during the display times and so permissions to land will be refused during this time. PPR is also necessary, by phone or radio, on the Friday but limited facilities will be available due to setting up. No PPR is required on Sunday.
We have the 12 item air display with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight opening proceedings with a full display at 12:15 on the Saturday. A bar and food will be available all day and into the night and full camping facilities are available on the airfield. An aviation memorabilia fair will take place all weekend and plenty of aviation exhibitors.
We will have a cracking event and would love to see you all there by air or by car. Please PPR as soon as possible no payment is required before the event but on the day it will be £3 per adult and children are free. All proceeds to Cancer Research UK and the Rainbows Childrens Hospice.
Happy landings

Come Hell, high water ... and maybe even inclement weather, I'll be there :)

We're still hoping to gather as many Slingsby T31m Cadets as possible and I'm determined I'm not going to let the side down!

Providing i'm up to speed with my new aircraft by the 23rd (at least well enough that I can avoid making an embarassingly bad landing in front of everyone! :uhoh:) I may very well decide to make this my first flyin.

Shortstripper, if you're passing somewhere near Enstone on the way up how would you like a Luton Minor to join the gaggle? I know it's not a T31, but reasonably similar in terms of performance, plus it'd be much nicer to bimble up with other pilots than arrive on my own!

Cheers,

Ox

Hi Oxeagle,

I doubt they'll be a gaggle of T31's flying up together. It will be hard enough getting them in one place, let alone having them fly in together. I'd be more than happy for you to fly along with me though, so we'll have to arrange where to meet as Enstone's a bit off track for me.

Hi Shortstripper,

Unfortunately it seems things have taken a bit of a bad turn in terms of getting my PPL finished in time, so I have all of a PROB0 chance of being there with X-ray Juliet now :( :ugh: Ah well, there's always next year!

Thanks anyway,

Ox
