Was this promulgated by the management to the Ryanair pilots or did they have to find out about it in the same way they discovered that one of their 738s had stalled over the Pyrenees - from the NTSB? Wonderful open culture that, isn't it. And the ever-spineless IAA stands back and does sweet nothing about this culture.

Remember they almost lost an ATR way back in the late 80s that stalled in icing somewhere near Bristol?

an atr 72 was lost due to icing between chicago and indianapolis.

I know of one loss of displays on Fokker F100 aircraft about 15 years ago...everything went black, at night, over a great lake which shall remain nameless. pilots landed it safely, Fokker said it couldn't happen...but it did
