Busy airport in a class D zone. Inbound 146 royal flight with Queenie herself on board. Is there need to establish CAS-T? Or just stop VFR flights for the duration? Or nothing at all?

I was under impression CAS-T was only established to temporarily make class A airspace around airports that were not in permanently CAS.

I would hazard a guess that you need to do something to remove the VFR flights. CAS(T) only allows SVFR (ie separation is to be provided between all aircraft) whereas Class D allows for visual separation between VFR & VFR/IFR.

Class D becomes CAS-T for the times in the Notam.VFR become SVFR but if it's a nice day,we treat them very similiar.Roll on Aug-Sep when she comes to Balmoral.:ok:
