LH 411 31MAR lands with 35 pax and 6 FA seriously sick

Report of a seriously ill crew and passengers on a JFK-FRA LH 340-600 that eventually landed in FRA with 6 FAs and 35 pax seriously sick with some kind of disease.

Has anyone here heard about the incident and the background to it? The first symptoms seemd to have appeared one hour into the flight. Is it normal to continue on in such events?

Sounds more like food poisoning than the "virus" suggested.

Or mass hysteria.....

I've never seen FAs eat food so early into a flight. What is the SOP in such :yuk: situations?

Perhaps engine oil leaking into the aircon?I have experienced this a number of times on different 'buses.The oil is not dis-similar to organo-phosphates.It can leave you feeling very unwell.
