So what's a Harrier doing flying over Peterborough, 10:40 today, at about 2,000 feet trailing white smoke from each wingtip? Go on, surprise me.:)

The Reds have finally been binned! :D "Fuel dump on- GO!" shortens the routine somewhat though...

Well I'll be. I did wonder about that. Presume he and aircraft are down in one piece.

I'm trying to recall info from my brain, no docs near to hand at the moment.
The rear portion of the wing tips are home to ESM antennas. I think the fuel vent mast is on the fusilage.
Some of the Zeus antennas are in the wingtip area but so is the fuel dump.

I suppose Peterborough is as good as anywhere to dump fuel over, bit closer to Cottesmore than the Sea......:)

My neighbour's scratching his head and wondering why his prize flowers have all fallen flat on their arse, but Mum's the word. :)

Harrier fuel dumps are indeed on the wing tips.
They comprise two 1.5" outlets located on the RCS fairings on the wingtips, and happily, have a nice useful screwthread, for the techies convenience!! :p
The fuel Vent is indeed on the fuselage. This is the "Sharks Fin" on the Stb'd side, almost immediately below the Stb'd 'cold' nozzle.

Was the Harrier turning whilst dumping?
Was he dumping fuel or was it contrails off the wing? Generally dumping only happens over the sea.
Did it look like this :
